Opera Ebony is America’s longest running African American Opera Company. Established in 1973 by Benjamin Matthews, Wayne Sanders, Sister Mary Elise and Margaret Harris. It has fostered the careers of countless African American singers, directors, conductors and designers. Wayne Sanders, principal music director will be joined by some of the most talented young singers on the music scene today. These artists will present and evening of operatic arias, African American art songs, Spirituals and popular music.
